Briana Gilmore - Leader in Transportation Policy and Disability Justice

Briana Gilmore is a policy and strategy leader whose career spans transportation and housing equity, decarceration, healthcare policy, and food and water security. She has worked as an advocate and organizer, policymaker, educator, program director, and tech policy leader.

Currently, Briana works as the head of global accessibility policy for Uber. She leads cross-functional strategies that improve mobility for older adults and users with disabilities. Her work includes developing inclusive product features like self-identification options for users with disabilities, guiding compliance with global accessibility standards, and advancing research that promotes accessible transportation systems.

Briana Gilmore has authored multiple scientific publications and articles, and is a regularly sought-after public speaker. Her recent presentations include a panel at the MIT AgeLab Economics of Longevity Symposium and a keynote address and the NEXii Longevity Congress in Porto, Portugal. She has a BA in political science and sociology from Hofstra University and an MS in urban planning and international development from the University of Amsterdam.
